We are FAIR’N GREEN certified.
Our major focus has always been on comprehensive sustainability. This goes far beyond topics like what spray agents to use in the vineyards or how to work in the cellar. I want to preserve what 11 generations before me have created and pass this on to future generations. This is why we were looking for an approach that combines practical relevance, resource conservation and further development in one single concept. With FAIR’N GREEN, we have found a certificate that fully corresponds to our vision of winemaking.

What is FAIR’N GREEN?
Fair and Green e. V. was founded in September 2013 by several wineries (including Weingut Philipp Kuhn, Weingut Heymann-Löwenstein, Weingut Georg Breuer and Weingut Clemens Busch). The aim of this association is to establish sustainable business practices in viticulture and all areas of the value chain involved.
What is essential in this regard is a holistic view of sustainability. Economic, environmental and social concerns are given equal consideration. FAIR’N GREEN, thus, paves the way for holistic sustainability in viticulture and agriculture. In addition to issues like fertilisation and plant protection this new approach also covers many further areas of sustainability e.g. energy consumption, water consumption, resource consumption, fuel consumption, fair working conditions for employees, as well as all aspects of investments, innovations and economic management of the business.
To highlight these goals, the FAIR’N GREEN label for sustainable viticulture has been introduced and is a hallmark for both the products and the wine businesses.
